Rumblings in the Depths
To those of you who have been wondering where we have been for the last few months, we wish to thank you for your many letters of enquiry and support, and also for the countless parcels of rations and dry biscuits that you have sent. Your generosity has sustained us during our often fraught attempts to repair our badly damaged steamboat. We are happy to announce that we have made good progress, and that the vessel is almost sea-worthy.
However, our records indicate that some citizens have been inconsistent with their offerings to Old Bertie. While sightings of the squid have been few in the past year, we remind each of you that complacency will lead only to ruin. Bertie may yet again reveal himself, and so we leave you with this one vitally important question:
Have you made your offering to Old Bertie today?

Singer-Songwriter at Over the Fence
Our short film Singer-Songwriter has been officially selected for the 2010 Over the Fence Comedy Film Festival.
Starring Mark Storen and Damon Lockwood, the film tells the story of Jason Bray, an ocean-loving fixture of the Perth music scene who ‘writes from the heart’. Usually the songs come easily for Jason, but the arrival of a travelling songstress threatens to change everything.
Singer-Songwriter is the only Western Australian short to be included in the program, which features an international line up of short and feature length films. The Perth premiere will be followed by a national tour that will see the film screened Australia wide until mid 2011.
The short film program will premiere in Perth at Cinema Paradiso on Friday May 21 at 8:30pm, with a second screening on Sunday May 23 st 6:00pm. For your chance to enjoy another satire from the team that brought you This is Perth, make sure you head down.
