Dan Osborn and Vincenzo Perrella are a creative team who have been working together for many years.

Their debut YA novel, Old Bertie, a hilarious dystopian satire about an island community that worships a Giant Squid, will be published by Fremantle Press in August, 2026, and is currently available for pre-order from online retailers including Booktopia and Dymocks, or in person at your favourite independent bookshop.

As a duo, Perrella & Osborn have written scripts and funny material for television projects, both live action and animation. Their award-winning short films, including This is Perth, It’s Just Gary and George Jones and the Giant Squid, which they wrote and directed as a pair, have screened at festivals around the world. They have performed together live at events such as Perth’s Fringe World and the Wild West Comedy Fest.
